“Reform” for the Industry on a New Level

JASA has worked on increasing public awareness of embedded systems technology, through numerous activities such as ET exhibitions focused on applicable fields (general embedded systems exhibitions), the JASA Embedded Technology Engineer Certification (aimed at addressing the issue of human resource development), and technically relevant ET seminars. The ‘Embedded Software Industry’ has been added to the Japan Standard Industry Classification. It is the evidence to show that the industry is recognized as the technological backbone of Japanese manufacturing. Embedded systems technology is constantly evolving to meet system needs with high level functionality and reliability, while at the same time, expanding fields of application. In particular, the fact that embedded systems technology has become involved in social life evidences the progression of the industry to the next level. While JASA has progressed alongside Japanese foundation technology for more than 20 years, the new era that we face calls for suitable system-making and high quality activities in JASA. JASA works on a positive reform for steady and sustainable development of the industry.
